How we handle your data.

This notice explains how Gorey School of English (operated by LK Education Ireland Limited, CRO 809935, 29 Main Street, Gorey, Co. Wexford, Ireland — "we", "us") collects and uses the personal data you submit through this website. We're committed to keeping it short, plain and accurate.

What we collect

We only collect information you actively submit through one of our forms:

• Contact form — name, email, phone (optional), message.
• Host family application — name, email, phone, address (Eircode optional), and a description of your home and family.
• Partner / agency enquiry — name, organisation, email, phone, message.

We don't use cookies for tracking or analytics. The site loads Google Fonts; that request reaches Google's servers, but no data of yours is sent in the process beyond a normal HTTP request.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation, visit or programme.
• To assess and process applications to host international students.
• To carry out the programme contracts we agree with partner agencies.

The legal basis is either your consent (when you tick a consent box on a form) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running our programmes.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries with no follow-up: deleted after 12 months.
• Active host family records: kept while you are an active host plus 24 months after your last placement.
• Agency partner records: kept while the partnership is active, plus 7 years after the last invoice for accounting purposes.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only when strictly necessary:

• With our email service provider (Resend) to deliver form submissions to our inbox.
• With our hosting provider (Cloudflare) which serves this website.
• With the partner agency or school related to your enquiry — only when the enquiry was sent on their behalf and only to the extent needed to respond.
• With An Garda Síochána, only as required for vetting host families before placements.

Some of these providers process data outside the EEA (United States); they operate under appropriate EU data transfer mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses, EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to access, correct, port or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent or object to processing at any time. Email us at info@goreyse.com and we'll respond within one calendar month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission if you believe we've handled your data unfairly.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Submissions are sent to our inbox over an authenticated transactional email service. We don't store form submissions in a database on the public site — they reach our team's inbox and stay there.
