A school with roots, not just a programme.

Gorey School of English is an English language school based in the centre of Gorey, Co. Wexford, in Ireland's sunny south-east. We've been organising international study programmes for European students since 2005, and we've opened our own school in Ireland to deliver the kind of immersion experience our partners and families have asked us for — on our own terms, with our own team on the ground.

Why Gorey

Gorey is small enough to feel like a real Irish town and big enough to have everything a programme needs: cafés, sports clubs, a beach 10 minutes away in Courtown, the Wicklow Mountains an hour up the road, and Dublin reachable by train in 75 minutes. It's a community that has hosted international students for decades — the families know what they're doing, the bus drivers know our schools, and the local council supports the work.

How we work

Everything that happens in Ireland — accommodation, classes, transfers, activities, 24/7 emergency support — is run by our local team. Our partners abroad handle the recruitment, sales and family relationships in their home countries; we handle the experience on the ground. That clarity of roles is what keeps groups well looked after and our partners coming back season after season.

The team

We're a small team led by an Irish School Manager and an Activity Leader / Project Manager, supported by qualified teachers, vetted host families and trusted local providers (transport, activities, medical care). Behind us, an experienced international operations and marketing team working with partner agencies across Spain, Italy, Poland and beyond.
